ENCOUNTERS FROM OTHER WORLDS
It's been 20 years since the sightings started... Between 2.005 and 2.009 there were different encounters between downtempo, trip-hop and synthesizers from other worlds.
Abduccion is the first alter ego of Sergio Martín, who since he was a child felt very attracted to stories about UFOs and science fiction in general. And when the time came, he started experimenting with electronic music on his own.
Although the project has been inactive since the self-release in 2.009 of the album ...#&*%!!!, the evolution of the media and platforms where Abduccion's material could be listened to and downloaded, had left its references practically without diffusion. That's why we at Harmonic Chaos have re-released that ...#&*%!!!, publishing it on all current digital platforms and streaming services.
The album offers 10 tracks impregnated with electronica, downtempo, trip-hop, ambient and even some flashes of IDM. While almost all of the songs on Abduccion are instrumental beats, French MCs Piloophaz and Arcane XVII collaborated on the tracks Poussière de Diamant and Acide Dû respectively.
Abduccion plays with different sampling and synthesis techniques to achieve dark and enveloping atmospheres. Among the most used devices for the creation of this album are the Yamaha DX7 (probably the most popular FM synthesizer since the 80's) and the not so well known Alesis ION. Several old toy keyboards commonly known as Casiotone were also used.
...#*&%!!! it's a weird name for a record, isn't it? But it's just a little nod to the world of comic books, where something similar was shown when a character cursed. Why curse? What's the first thing that would come out of your mouth if you were having an alien encounter? Maybe a long: Hoooly shit!
In the coming months, it's very likely that we'll be reissuing their other references as well. So be sure to keep your eyes on the sky!
